If you are renting your home privately and you have the right amount of income-related benefits then you could qualify to have a boiler upgrade for absolutely nothing of a small price compared to what you would usually pay. As you are a tenant you would need written permission from the landlord to go ahead with boiler install.


If you are the landlord of a home that is in need of a new boiler and the tenant living under the roof has the correct amount of income and the boiler has a fault or if the boiler is older than eight years a boiler can be installed for the tenant.

Who qualifies?

If you receive benefits and your boiler is five years old than the chances are you are entitled to a brand new boiler, even if your boiler is less than five years old then a fully qualified engineer will come out to you for a boiler check and we will repair the boiler to make sure it is running up to the highest standards to make sure it is safe and it is cost effective. Another way you could qualify is if you have a child under 16 living at the household.
